The gospel changes everything.
‍Including us.

At Midtown Youth, middle and high school students will encounter Jesus, build community, and become who they were meant to be. Because youth aren’t just the next generation of the church. They’re a vital part of the church right now.

Midtown Youth exists to help 6th-12th grade students encounter Jesus, build community, and become who they were meant to be.

ENCOUNTER

We experience God’s love through worship, scripture, & teaching. This is the priority, not a performance or entertainment.
CONNECT

We engage in Christ-like relationships with peers and mentors, engaging with each other along the way. We weren’t made to do this alone.
TRANSFORM

We practice faith in real life through service, adventure, and evangelism. Not from our own strength, but empowered by the Spirit.
Everything we do starts by showing up
and often leads somewhere unexpected.
Our philosophy

Youth is a beautiful cross-generational and cross-congregational ministry of Midtown.

We believe that students are not just the next generation of the church but that they are a vital part of the church right now. They have gifts, talents, wisdom, love, and faith that are critical to both the health of Midtown and the city of Nashville.

For parents

We believe that parents are the primary disciplers of their children. As a youth ministry, we get to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children. By fostering that partnership, we get to see the students flourish together.

We ask volunteer leaders to pursue students in intentional discipling relationships, modeling what it looks like to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and be on mission with Jesus. This team meets students where they are and impacts them through relational investment.

What we do

Midtown Youth is a group of people being changed by the Gospel. Here's how that comes to life each year:

Middle school ministry
Our middle school ministry focuses on students growing in their understanding and experience of Jesus, building relationships and lots of play. We meet weekly on Sundays at Midtown Granny White (3410 Granny White Pike) from 4:15-6:15pm for Youth Group. We also have seasonal events and an annual fall weekend retreat.
High school ministry
Our high school ministry focuses on students deepening their experience of Jesus, wrestling with how to follow God, and sharing God with their friends. We meet weekly on Sundays at Midtown Granny White's Stone House (1024 Noelton Ave) from 5:30-7pm for Large Group. We also have monthly social events, small groups, and an annual winter weekend retreat.

Meet the Youth team.
