We believe that life is both beautiful and broken — that seasons of joy often mingle with sorrow, loss, and struggle. In the midst of it all, we want our community to reflect the heart of Jesus by walking alongside one another with compassion, presence, and grace.
Creating a culture of care means fostering meaningful relationships, offering support in times of need, and reminding one another that we don’t have to walk alone. Through the leadership of our Director of Care and the partnership of our elders and our staff, we seek to build a church where care is not just a ministry, but a way of life together.
Recovery Groups provide a safe, supportive space to be honest about what’s going on and to experience the healing power of being truly known and accepted. These groups aren’t a Bible study or a 12-Step program — instead, they combine open sharing, book discussion, and space to process stories. Recovery Groups typically form in the fall and end in the spring.
Midtown 12 South’s care ministry is led by staff and supported by our elders and our members. From arranging flowers, to writing cards, to meeting for coffee, your gifts and interests can be used to care for others in the 12 South community. If you are interested in joining the group of people that cares for one another, please fill out the interest form to get started.
